THE COMPANY

LifeLabs is a leading Canadian laboratory services provider that has been serving the healthcare needs of Canadians for more than 50 years. Today, LifeLabs performs more than 100 million laboratory tests every year, helping healthcare providers diagnose, treat, monitor and prevent disease in patients.

THE CHALLENGE

To promote the opening of the largest privately owned genetics laboratory in Canada and communicate the benefits for Canadians and LifeLabs’ stakeholders. The opening marked an important step in bringing meaningful, cost-effective, clinically relevant genetic information to Canadians while building next-generation genetic testing expertise and capacity in Canada.

THE STRATEGY

Fifth Story partnered with LifeLabs to produce a video to be shown at the opening event of the new LifeLabs’ Genetic Lab and to be used on LifeLabs’ corporate website and media release. The LifeLabs video tells a story about passionate professionals who believe genetic testing is the future of Canadian health care.

THE RESULTS

The video was played during the opening event and is now featured and promoted on LifeLabs Genetics’ owned and shared media channels as a tool for patients and healthcare partners that explains why genetic testing will lead to better, more personalized care and educates Canadians about LifeLabs’ commitment to build a healthier Canada.
