We help clients earn attention through useful content that publishers choose to share with their audiences.
We’re looking for a bilingual communications professional who is equally comfortable building relationships with publishers, managing digital content, reviewing French copy, and helping great content reach the right audience.

About the Role

The Bilingual Media Relations & Digital Publishing Specialist plays a critical role in how content moves from client approval to publication, promotion, and audience engagement.
You will work closely with our production team to ensure content is accurately published, effectively distributed, and actively promoted across the News Canada publisher network and related channels.

  • Follow up with editors regarding content opportunities and usage
  • Identify and recruit new publisher partners across Canada
  • Maintain media and publisher contact databases
  • Support publisher onboarding and engagement initiatives
  • Gather publisher feedback and identify opportunities to improve content performance and reach
  • Help strengthen and expand the News Canada publisher network

Digital Publishing, Newsletter Operations & Content Distribution

  • Publish approved content to our platforms
  • Upload articles, images, audio files, videos, and supporting assets
  • Manage content formatting, categorization, metadata, tagging, scheduling, and quality assurance
  • Ensure English and French versions are accurately published, linked, and displayed
  • Maintain organized content archives, publishing workflows, and content libraries
  • Create and distribute publisher newsletters
  • Select and package content for newsletter promotion and write supporting blurbs and copy
  • Maintain publisher mailing lists, segmentation, and newsletter schedules
  • Monitor newsletter engagement and share insights to support content promotion and audience growth
  • Support content distribution initiatives across multiple platforms and channels

Bilingual Editorial Quality Assurance & French Audio Review

  • Review and quality-check English and French content, including translations, headlines, metadata, descriptions, captions, and promotional copy
  • Copy edit English content and ensure French content is accurate, natural, and aligned with Canadian French standards
  • Ensure consistency between approved and published content across articles, radio, newsletters, social media, and other formats
  • Identify and resolve content, publishing, or quality issues prior to distribution and promotion
  • Attend French radio recording sessions as needed to review script accuracy, pronunciation, pacing, tone, and overall audio quality
  • Coordinate revisions and support final approval of French-language audio assets

Social Media & Audience Development

  • Manage and maintain social channels
  • Develop content calendars and publishing schedules
  • Create and adapt content for social platforms
  • Support audience growth initiatives
  • Monitor engagement trends and identify new opportunities to increase visibility and reach
  • Repurpose existing content to maximize performance

  • Proven media solutions — articles, radio, video, and measurement
  • Support & mentorship — you’ll work alongside experienced sales, editorial, and media teams.

The Role

This proactive, outreach-driven sales role requires starting conversations, following up, and advancing opportunities. It’s a quota-carrying position focused on development.

You’ll build the skills and confidence to:

  • Own client relationships
  • Drive revenue and account growth
  • Sell earned media solutions consultatively
  • Build a long-term career in media sales.

You’ll be supported and coached, and you’ll also be trusted with real responsibility.

  • Build strong relationships and follow up consistently.
  • Are coachable and motivated to improve
  • Like working toward targets and tracking progress
  • Take ownership of results.

In your first year, you’ll:

  • Build relationships with agencies, marketers, and communications professionals across Canada.
  • Develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and account growth.
  • Become a trusted advisor on earned media and consistently achieve revenue targets.

How You’ll Grow (and Win) Here

  • You’ll learn to sell consultatively, not transactionally.
  • You’ll work in a target-driven but relationship-focused environment.
  • You’ll gain confidence owning conversations, accounts, and outcomes.
  • You’ll be supported and expected to grow.

What You Get

  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
  • Hybrid role (Toronto-based)
